Large Georgian farmhouse in Somerset - Taunton

We live in a large 18th century grade 2 listed farmhouse in the open countryside, 30 minutes walk from Taunton town centre. The house has 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 4 reception rooms, a large kitchen, utility room, table tennis room, 1.75 acres of garden which has organic vegetables, an ancient orchard, a large lawn and a hot tub. The house has been renovated in the last few years and has central heating and woodburning stoves. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bedrooms are all very comfortable. This is our main home and it is well equipped with toys, bikes, wet suits, wellies etc. We often travel with our 3 children and their young families. If the right exchange is found, we may be able to offer another 3 bed property on our farm for a large family to stay here. We are open to non-simultaneous swaps, but prefer simuntaneous.

About the location

The house is within easy walking distance of Taunton, which is a market town with all usual amenities and transport links. It is within 1hours drive of Exmoor, Dartmoor and the north and south coasts. Bristol, Exeter and Bath are within 1 hour by train and London is 2.5 hours by train. It is an ideal base for walking, cycling and discovering the countryside of somerset. Taunton is well serviced with cinema, leisure centre, children activity centre and restaurants. There are also great cycle routes in the area.
