Our spacious detatched house has 4 bedrooms; 2 living rooms – 1 with veranda, 1 with wood-burner stove; dining room, kitchen, office, bathroom & washroom. The house is 150 years old but extended & fully modernised. A few minutes walk from the village amenities (supermarket, restaurants, art gallery, playground etc) but peaceful, looking down a green valley & golf course. We have a beautiful garden (pond, swing, seating areas etc) and use of adjoining field – chickens, Shetland ponies, stream, bonfire area. There are excellent walks from the door, either on lanes or more rugged paths eg 5 minutes to the old railway viaduct!
Thornton (birthplace of the Bronte sisters – Wuthering heights country!) is a thriving village with 10 minute bus service to Bradford (National Museum of Photography, Film and TV); easy drive to beautiful Dales countryside and many tourist attractions.
