Our home is in Davis, a sunny university city full of parks for children and culture for parents (cafes, bookstores, music, galleries). It's a great place for touring Northern California w/train access: 20 mins to Sacramento (state capitol); less than 2 hr. to San Francisco, the wine country, the Pacific Ocean; and less than 3 hrs. to the Sierra Nevada mountains (hiking, 1849 gold rush sites, Lake Tahoe, Reno casinos). We can leave you all sorts of information on places to go and things to see in the vicinity (including the great Farmer's Market each Wed. and Sat.). We live on a tree-lined street surrounded by friendly neighbors and close to all amenities (i.e., grocery stores, book stores, library, parks, the University, etc.).
