We live in a sub-tropical private valley with only two other neighbours. Our home is spacious and beautiful with all mod cons, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, large patio with gas BBQ. The open plan living area has limestone flooring and granite kitchen (Lyanne is a keen cook and the kitchen is well equipped), as well as an open fireplace and big, comfortable sofas. Large windows look onto the idyllic rural views, the house is surrounded by its own 3 acres in a 400 acre private eco community with no through traffic and lovely walks. Wallabies (small kangaroos) and local birds abound. We are 8 minutes from the beach of the sleepy seaside town of Brunswick Heads, and 15 minutes from the world famous white sand surfing beaches of Byron Bay, Australia’s trendiest and most cosmopolitan holiday destination with cafes,live music, diving, wind surfing, hot air ballooning, seasonal whale and dolphin watching etc. We are also 5 minutes from the village of Mullumbimby, the heart of the local alternative culture, with organic food shops, alternative therapies, and an easy going, friendly atmosphere. The whole area is renowned for it's natural beauty of ocean and forest.
The Pacific Highway provides an easy 45 minutes to the Gold Coast, Queensland which has more shopping and big tourist attractions (Sea World, Movie World, Dreamworld, etc) a beach holiday destination in its own right.
