House close to centre of Edinburgh

Well situated house meaning you could easily spend the morning at the beach and the afternoon in the old town. Our house is located centrally in the historic residential area of Duddingston with 2 double bedroom and a kids room with three single beds. A large living area and kitchen which has a large dining `island`. There is also a dining room with a cosy log fire. The `dressing room` has a bath and the main bathroom has a walk in shower. There is also a further separate w/c. We have a sunny back garden with two outdoor seated/dining areas.

We have friendly neighbours and are a short 10 minute walk from the beach (Portobello) with local shops, bars and restaurants. About a 15 minute walk from Duddingston Village and Arthurs Seat where you will find `The Sheep Heid` which is the oldest pub in Scotland! A ten minute drive to city centre which can also be reached by the local bus service which runs every 10 mins - the bus stop is a 2 mins walk from house.

Ideally suited for a swap during the Edinburgh festival but also any time throughout the year. We are pretty flexible on dates. We would also consider weekend breaks depending on location.

We either travel as a couple or in summer sometimes with out 3 grandchildren so we are open to offers both as a party of 2 or a party of 5.
