George is a coastal town, with easy access to a number of beaches as well as beautiful mountain and forest walks.
It is also well known as a golfing mecca, with 8 world-class golf courses in the immediate area.
For those who enjoy shopping it also has a large modern shopping mall and a number of craft/farm markets.
