Our sunny, light home is a 10 min drive from Sandbanks, two km from beautiful Poole Harbour. The house is situated in a quiet cul de sac with a wooden area at the back of the house. It's a 30 minute cycle to beautiful beaches, sailing schools; wind/kitesurfing, and a similar distance to the ferry for Studland nature reserve, Brownsea Island & Isle of Purbeck.

Two large double bedrooms, one large master suite upstairs with harbour and sunset views. It has a large sunny family room looking out to a sunny patio / garden.

There is a bbq, comfortable wicker seating for four plus sun umbrellas, a swing seat, shaded courtyard, bicycles, books and maps of the local area.

There are 26 steps up to the house, parking is available in the drive.

Local bistro's and pubs are a 5 minute walk, at Ashley Cross. The town centres are in Poole and Bournemouth 15 / 25 minutes by bus. Excellent rail links to London, nearest airport Bournemouth / Southampton.

We have lived here for 10 years, and are recently retired, ready to travel more widely.
We love our home and surrounding area! We also love travelling around Europe, and have enjoyed two house exchanges so far, both fabulous - in Aix en Provence and Calonge, Girona.

About the location

Ashley Cross is a vibrant area with bars and restaurants, with a small park, the house is walking distance to Whitecliff, which is by the harbour and Poole Quay. Our house is 5 min walk to railway station - London 1.5 hours, it's a large 1910 house, with modern family room, kitchen and downstairs loo / shower room. Sunsets from the house are amazing as it faces South West and is high on a hill with views of the hills and sea in the distance.

Studland is via small car ferry which you either drive / walk to Isle of Purbeck, with stunning walks, nature reserve and further afield, Kimmeridge and the SW Coastal path, Swanage, Dorset - a huge area of outstanding beauty.

We also have a beach hut at Branksome, Poole which is fully equipped for daytimes, surfboards, sunchairs, gas stove.... and a house in Spain, near Girona for house swap out of peak season.
