Located less than half an hour walk from the centre of the beautiful town of Bury St Edmunds (good bus service also available), half an hour to Cambridge, less than an hour to Norwich or Ely and and well under two hours to London. The immediate area is well served with a local Tesco, pub/restaurant, coffee shop and a hairdresser. Train services to the cities are good from the nearby station and alternative transport in terms of buses is is also good. Car recommended to visit the lovely local countryside. Plenty to do in this area and a fabulous region for a relaxing break or something more lively.Bury has many independent as well as larger shops and a thriving market on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Cinemas and theatres in town also. Bury St Edmunds cathedral and abbey gardens are well worth a visit, as are the many ancient buildings in the town. Bury is a really beautiful and interesting town which would provide an ideal base for an East Anglian break.
