Surrounding garden on a 1 acre block with no immediate neighbors, but a few minuets stroll to town shops pubs and cafe's. Omeo is a small town at the foot of the Australian alps (probably thought we didn't have any!) We are only 40 minutes drive to Mt Hotham, one of Australia's best ski resorts,30 minutes to Dinner Plain an exclusive ski resort with pubs and restaurants. 30 minutes to Mt Hotham airport. Omeo is on the Great Alpine road, one of Australia's premier tourist drives incorporating alpine scenery, national parks, rivers, gold mining history-including old ghost towns. All close to the area. We on the odd occasion get snow in town but more likely you will wake to see the surrounding mountains peaked with snow. And if your adventurous, climb up into the snow line. We are surrounded by wildlife, especially birds, possums, wombats and kangaroos. The unadulterated southern night sky (orions belt upside down!) is completely free!
