The Old Forge is a comfortable, well-equipped one bedroom cottage adjoining our own 500 year old cottage in the peaceful, historic village of Clyro, one mile from Hay on Wye, famous for its 30 second hand book shops and annual Literary Festival. There are a range of other literary, arts and jazz festivals in the area throughout the year.
The cottage is close to the Black Mountains of Wales and The Golden Valley of rural Herefordshire, and the area is perfect for walking, sightseeing, and enjoying the beautiful countryside. The Brecon Beacons, the highest peaks in South Wales, are just 16 miles away, and there are opportunites for horse riding, gliding, canoeing and other outdoor sports.
The cottage has a peaceful, wild garden.
