Two storey light-filled garden home

Our house is two-storey, four bedroom in a quiet street in Mosman, a seaside suburb, 10 minutes from the city, & close to child-friendly harbour beaches and Pacific surf at Manly.

Sunny and light, opening to sandstone patio and large garden, with natural gas barbecue. There's a secure rear access for the car and is safe for children.

Master bedroom with en-suite bathroom; an office, modern kitchen, open plan to lounge with fireplace; family sized bathroom with spa; there's a pool table & library in the large garage.

Our exchange car is a 2007 Peugeot.

About the location

Mosman is virtually surrounded by water, with breathtaking views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Activities include beachcombing, sailing, windsurfing, swimming, kayaking, fishing, scuba diving, and spectacular, easy bush walks to sheltered coves and inlets. There are excellent restaurants, cinemas, boutique shops and a short ferry or bus ride to city attractions.

Supermarkets and services are a 5 minute walk away. Close by are Taronga Park zoo, Balmoral Beach, historic forts and tunnels, bushland, bird watching, views of the city, marinas, restaurants, fish and chips on the beach, and canoe & sailboat hire.

In the southern hemisphere, April and May in Sydney is Autumn, so expect warm days and mild nights. Many tourists find this to be one of the more favourable months for exploring Sydney, as the weather is warm and pleasant and not as hot as in the summer months. Average temperatures range from 12°C (54°F) at night to 23°C (73°F) in the daytime.
June is the beginning of Winter but Sydney enjoys a temperate climate with a mild winter, and has more than 340 sunny days a year. Average temperatures range from 10°C (50°F) at night to 18°C (64°F) in the daytime.

Winter is the best time to travel to the hotter northern parts of Australia, for example: to explore the Outback - the red centre, Great Barrier Reef or tropics.
