Family home in Berlin

We have already found a swap partner for summer 2024 so unfortunately we are not looking for new swaps at the moment.

Pictures here are already quite old, we have done some refurbishments, will add some ne pictures in the coming weeks :-).

Our house is located in Berlin Reinickendorf. The centre of Berlin can be reached within 25 min by public transportation. It is very quiet and adjacent to a forest.

The house is suitable for families with or without children. You can enjoy the nature around Berlin with lakes and forests as well as the cultural opportunities Berlin offers.

Please note we have already fixed our plans for this summer!

About the location

In walking distance in the forest you find a small game reserve. Nearby there is Tegeler See, a lake with good swimming opportunities.

If you like you can use our car, which is a (quite old by now) Volvo 850 and, of course, also our bikes.

Berlin itself offers a number of opportunities for visitors of every age. Just to give you a short impression of its multi-facetted character:

If you`re interested in history, you`ll find Berlin has a lot of original historic places to tell of its moved past, plus a lot of museums for recent history (e.g. Story of Berlin) as well as for ancient times, e. g. the Pergamom museum or the Neue Museum presenting the world famous Nofretete.
If you`re interested in arts, you`ll find Berlin has a lot of small independent galleries as well as huge ones featuring world famous works.
In the evening, we could recommend to visit one of Berlin`s famous theatres. The Schaubuehne, well known for their modern productions, for example presents their plays with English subtitles. And if you`re interested, there`s of course Berlin`s nightlife offering opportunities for every taste.

There is also a bunch of things your children might like: at least ours did. There is for example a nice museum with real impressive dinosaur skeletons (Naturkundmuseum), one with all kinds of machines (Museum fuer Verkehr und Technik) and in Wedding there is a special museum for children (www.labyrinth-kindermuseum.de/), not to mention Legoland and the zoo with Knut, the ice bear.
