Lovely 2 Bed home in Newcastle upon Tyne, England

5 minutes from the Angel of the North, 10 minutes form the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne (a vibrant, cosmopolitan city) or rolling Northumberland countryside and 20 minutes from the North East coast.

London is only 3 hours away on the train, taking you into the capital or perhaps to St Pancras to board the Eurostar to Paris?

Newcastle Internal Airport is 20 minutes away. The Port of Tyne (North Shields/Newcastle) port is 25 minutes drive away, daily crossings from Europe.

Newcastle has two large unversities with many bars, restaurants and activities for adults and families alike. You can have a city or country-style stay here with the Lake District just one hour's drive away - perfect for a weekend away!

Leeds is 1.5 hours away and the historic York is only 1 hour away on the train! Edinburgh is just over one and half hours on the train also, you can explore the gorgeous Scotland from our base.

We offer a 2-3 bedroom house, built in the 1960's, set in a suburban estate on the edge of beautiful countryside and major road access.

The photos show some of the woodland just behind our house - apparently where Lewis Carroll got his inspiration for Alice in Wonderland. The oldest standing railway bridge in the world is also just 10 minutes away and a beautiful walk along the Tanfield Railway. Beamish museume is perhaps 10-15 minutes away in the car, taking you back to life many years ago.

We have two double bedrooms with double beds, the third bedroom is a gym/Wii room!

Plenty of storage and of course lots of home comforts - we'll even put some food in the fridge for your arriving.

One bathroom, a kitchen/diner, study and lounge with DVD, big flat-screen TV. We also have wireless internet and a laptop you can use during your stay.

There is a secure garden to the front and rear, with a south-facing garden where you can sit out and watch the sun go down. Car parking is next to the house.

We have a small dog but he will be looked after while we're away, so there's no need to dogsit, but please do feel free to bring your pets if you can or want.

Some of the photos show us in snow - one of the heaviest winters we had here last year! Sunny in summer and snowy in winter - somewhere in between the two the rest of the time!
