Within an hour, you can drive to Southwold beach, Norwich, Thetford forest or the Norfolk Broads. Direct train to London (90 mins) is 15 mins away by car at Diss. The Waveney Valley is beautiful and tranquil and good bike, canoe and walking country.
Harleston itself is well-served by small independent shops and our house is within 5 minutes walking distance of the centre. We live on a quiet road in a row of Edwardian, three-storey houses.
