Lovely 4 Bed home in Clophill, England

Our home is a detached property on a country lane, overlooking fields. The accommodation comprises: sitting room, dining room, study, downstairs cloakroom, kitchen, laundry, conservatory (adjoining kitchen), 4 bedrooms (one en suite) and family bathroom. The garden is large (half an acre) and has a small river (Flit) as a border.The master bedroom has a 1.8m Tempur mattress. In addition, there are a double bed, and two single ones.The dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, fridge and freezer are all Bosch appliances and the ovens are Neff. The neighbours are friendly and helpful to our exchangees. We leave very full instructions for the home and its appliances etc. and plenty of maps and tourist information.

Clophill is a picture-postcard English village - with a village green. In the village there are 3 pubs/restaurants, a post office and general store, and a complimentary therapy centre. Although we are in a beautiful rural area, museums, cultural activities and excellent shopping are not far away.

About 2 miles away is a golf club that accepts non-members. Comprehensive shopping and all other amenities may be found in nearby Ampthill, Shefford and Hitchin. Bedford, Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Oxford are very easily accessed. Mainline trains to London are nearby (many villagers commute daily, the journey from nearby Arlesey station takes 40 mins.). Day trips to the Norfolk and Suffolk coasts are possible and many stately homes and National Trust properties are within easy reach. Wrest Park (www.english-heritage.org.uk/wrestpark) is in the neighbouring village of Silsoe. All around Clophill are woods with footpaths.
