Our pretty 18th century cottage is set in a wonderful rural location & is an ideal base for walkers or cyclists wishing to explore N. Essex or Cambridge. Saffron Walden - 10 mins. Cambridge - 30 mins. London - 1 hr (Bishop Stortford station - 20 mins & train to Liverpool Street - 30 mins). Stansted airport - 20 mins.

Accommodation comprises 4 double bedrooms . There is also a study which could be used as another bedroom if you so wished. There is one main family bathroom & the main bedroom has an ensuite. On the ground floor there is a study and a gorgeous period sitting room with large inglenook and working wood-burning stove. The kitchen is extremely generous in proportion and provides enough room for 4 to sit comfortably at the island as well as a sitting area and a dining table. There is also a utility room and pantry. Outside there is a large child & dog friendly garden (approx. 1 acre).

This is a great location from which to explore Cambridge and London for days out.

The cottage is set in beautiful countryside which provides wonderful walking and cycling routes. There is also a fishing lake within walking distance.

There are also many, many wonderful pubs to eat and drink at in the local area. You are truly spoilt for choice!
