House by the sea

We live in a lovely victorian terraced house 4 miles east of the city centre in Joppa/Portobello, Edinburgh's seaside town. Our house is situated right on the promenade with a sandy beach a few feet away. There is no traffic, just the sound of the sea!

On the ground floor there is a bay-windowed lounge with open fire; large kitchen/dining room, including large dining table and piano; cloakroom with toilet and hand basin. Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and a bathroom (bath/shower). (Apologies for the upside down photos, I can't seem to get them to rotate!).

The large and bright kitchen/dining room has french windows which lead onto our south-facing garden, with patio, garden table and chairs.

About the location

The area has a nice vibe and is very family friendly. We are a 10 minute walk along the promenade to Portobello High Street with supermarket, deli, fishmonger, butcher, bars, bistros, etc. There are also two pubs within a minute walk of our house. The Dalriada enjoys live folk and blues music.

Buses to the city centre go regularly all day and late into the evening, taking about 20-30 minutes. To drive, it can take as little as 15 minutes.
