Spacious 4-Bedroom duplex penthouse near Valencia with swimming-pool, terraces and great views - Paterna

Our flat is split into two levels, the last floors of a building in a state with a garden and a swimming-pool (plus a little shallow one for babies).

Our flat has great views, it`s very large, light, cozy, very cool and pleasant in summer, sunny and warm in winter. Also, air-conditioning, although it`s hardly ever necessary. We also have central heating.

In the top level, there is a kitchen, a large living-room (with a piano, TV, sound tower, game consoles), a toilet and two terraces (where you can enjoy total privacy for sunbathing, eating, showering with the hose, barbecues).

In the lower level there are four bedrooms (a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, one with a double bed, another with a double bed and one with a single bed, which we prefer to keep for storage but can be used if necessary), a bathroom, a study room (Wi-fi in all the house) and books (in English too!), a family bathroom and another terrace. Toys, children`s books (in Spanish, French, and English), game consoles and 2 adult + 1 children bicycles are at your disposal.

There is a park just across the road with a playground and also paths to walk or cycle.

About the location

Quiet residential area with a park and children`s playing area across the street.

We live in a quiet residential area 5 kms from Valencia (city) (ten minutes by car) and a 20-minute drive to the beach. It`s a perfect place from which to explore the city and enjoy, for example, the architecture (old quarter, spectacular City of Arts and Sciences), Bioparc, museums, restaurants, children`s attractions.., beaches, water parks or picturesque inland villages and then go back to enjoy a peaceful,country-like atmosphere with the necessary amenities, cooler temperatures and away from the city`s hustle and bustle.

Supermarket and restaurants/bars within walking distance.

Easy access to main roads, 10-minute drive to the airport. There is also a tramway which takes you to the city and to the beach, if you don`t want to drive, and you have time to spare! A bus service can take you to the city centre from a bus stop just across the road, but the timetable is not very frequent. There is a sports centre (with tennis courts, gym) on the other side of our street.

20 minute-walk / 4 minute drive to "Heron City Paterna", a leisure centre with cinemas, restaurants and bars in the open air, perfect to enjoy the warm summer nights, bowling centre, gym.

A golf course (club Escorpion, Bétera) a 10 minute drive away. Another one in El Saler Beach, about half an hour drive.

If you want to explore further afield, Valencia is the right place. The Mediterranean coast stretches to the North and South with a wide range of beaches, coves, quaint fishing villages. There also two great theme parks (Terra Mítica, 1 hour`s drive, Port Aventura, 2 hour`s drive).
You can even take a ferry at Denia`s lovely harbour (1hour`s drive) and reach Ibiza in 2 or 3 hours.
The AVE train will take you to Madrid in 1h 45 minutes so a day-trip to Spain`s capital city is very feasible.
