Light-filled Apartment in Quiet Neighborhood of Florence

Our 3 BR, 2 BA apartment, in Campo di Marte, has a queen bed in master BR, two twins in a second BR and an office with a twin bed. One bath has tub/shower and another bath has a shower. There are two terraces, one facing Fiesole and the hilltop from which Leonardo DaVinci made his first flight experiments. Our large living-dining area is open and spacious with table and chairs for 8. Eat-in kitchen with dishwasher, gas stove and ample storage connected to a terrace with table and 2 chairs. Large separate pantry with washing machine and lots of storage. We are on the 4th floor with elevator.

About the location

Campo di Marte is a real Italian neighborhood, non-touristy, with wonderful small shops and a huge park with children's carousel, playground, swimming pools and sports center. There are several family-owned restaurants, bars and an Irish pub within a 10 minute walk. Yet, there are 3 bus lines across the street from the apartment, with buses coming every 5-7 minutes that go directly to the historic center of Florence (Piazza San Marco) in 15 minutes. One can walk a very pleasant route to the center in 30 minutes. Additionally, a five-minute walk takes one to the #7 bus that travels up the hill to Fiesole and the European University Institute in 7 minutes. Street parking is easy to find.
