Llanfairfechan, Snowdonia National Park

Our home stands on the hillside above the small town of Llanfairfechan on the coast of North Wales. We enjoy spectacular views from the house across the golf course and the town to the Irish Sea with Anglesey and Puffin Island in the foreground and on clear days the Isle of Man and the hills of Cumbria on the horizon. The house is within the Snowdonia National Park and footpaths to the hills start just metres from our gate.

The house has one single and two double bedrooms, lounge, dining room, kitchen, pantry, bathroom , cloakroom with WC and a first floor conservatory offering lovely views along the Menai Strait to Bangor.

Please note: our home is not suitable for toddlers or young children having a steep back garden, open-backed stairs descending to a tiled floor and a front lawn which gives access to the flat garage roof from which there is a drop of over eight feet to the lane below.

About the location

Llanfairfechan is a pleasant small seaside town on the northern edge of the Snowdonia National Park. It caters for both beach - it has a Blue Flag - and mountain holidays and is easily reached via the A55 Expressway or by rail - there is a request stop in the town. The town offers two small supermarkets - one containing a Post Office counter, a butcher, library, ATM, public houses and take-away food outlets. The town is conveniently placed for easy day trips into the mountains of Snowdonia, the coastal delights of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula, several ancient castles, National Trust properties, bird and nature reserves and larger seaside resorts such as Llandudno and Colwyn Bay. The lovely city of Chester is about an hour by train or car and day trips to Liverpool, Manchester and Shrewsbury are possible.
