Traditional French detached home set in the foothills of the Pyrennes

We have lovingly restored "LE PISTOULET" into a comfortable family home. It is a light and airy set in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
We are looking for a UK exchange to visit family during October half term around 17 th October to 1st November 2015. We can only offer our home as a simultaneous exchange.
The spacious ground floor has a lounge with wood burning stove and three sofas with television (UK Channels), a kitchen/breakfast room and utility room. Also the wet room and cathedral double height dinning room and mezzanine level.
On the first floor you have three bedrooms and family bathroom and in the attic space a guest room with toilet, sink and extra lounge area.
Our home has a barn/workshop attached, wood store and bike shed.
Parking for cars on the driveway and a garden with outside seating area and large vegetable garden which houses the chickens and pigs.
We have two dogs (that we can rehome locally for the period) two cats a few chickens and Pinky and Perky the pet pigs who require daily feeding but are very easy to care for.

About the location

In the foothills of the Ariege Pyrenees. Our closest towns are St Girons and St Lizier. On the door step you will discover beautiful walks, fishing, mountain bike and road biking trails, skiing and many more adventurous outdoor activities. We are set within a hamlet with a shop and restaurant. There is much for history lovers to discover. We are located an hour and half from Toulouse, an hour from Foix and about an hour and half from Spain and two and half hours to Andorra.
