The Old Croft House

Our holiday cottage is in the Isle of Skye on the southerly most tip. We let it as a holiday cottage and it is fully equipped, very cosy and well presented. Our website for more info is www.beautifulskye.co.uk. It is a traditional old crofters cottage, which we refurbished to a high standard in 2004. It is in a remote location in a well populated village on the most southerly tip of the island in Aird of Sleat. We have amazing views to the islands of Eigg and Rhum and back to Knoydart on the mainland. Aird is the start of one of the best 10 walks on Skye to the Point of Sleat (and hour and a half to a beautiful sandy bay).
We are just looking to do occasional holiday home swaps to visit other parts of the UK.

About the location

Our holiday cottage is in the Isle of Skye on the southerly most tip. Sleat is known as 'The Garden of Skye' and is a very green, well populated area, with lots of local attractions. It is a very popular tourist location without being too 'toursity' as this is Skye!
This is a perfect location for a true 'getaway from it all' holiday. We are 40 minute drive to the nearest supermarket, with a local general store & farm shop 15 minutes away (for essentials). there are some good restaurants on the island, and a couple of local hotel/with public bars within a 20 minute drive.
Skye is a truly beautiful and unique island and The Old Croft House is the perfect place as a base to explore it.
