About the location

Our house is on the outskirts of Cambridge to the west.. Newnham Croft is a village, part of Cambridge, and only twenty minutes walk to Cambridge centre in one direction, and in the other direction it is ten minutes walk to beautiful Grantchester Meadows and then Byron's pool and then the countryside if you walk further on.

There is a butcher, a chemist, a post office a general Co-operative store and a baker (with fresh bread baked everyday) - all within five minutes walk from the house.

There are almost unlimited things to go to in Cambridge such as Museums, Art Galleries, Theatre, Cinemas, many concerts and free College Evensong etc. and Shops. All within walking distance.

Only 45/50 mins to London Kings Cross by train from the station. Therefore easy day trip and escape the business of the big city when you get home to our peaceful house.. The railway station is twenty minutes from the house.
