About us

Dave and I are semi retired and have been living in the Marple Area for 3 years. we moved here because we believe Marple gives us a better quality of life and we are part of a friendly community. Our house has 3 bedrooms upstairs. Downstairs is a large open plan kitchen, dining room and living area, a TV room and a study, area with a sofa bed. The garden backs on to woodland and the Middlewood way, a pathway
that stretches for 10 miles to Macclesfield. it is used by runners, cyclists, dog walkers and equestrians. We also back on to a golf course; a Rugby club and are close to canals and a river. The area is scenic with local walks, transportation is very good. We are a half hour train ride away from central Manchester, the station is 10mins walk away. we are close to the Peak District , also the Lake District and Wales are about 1.5 hrs drive away. Ideally we would like to exchange with someone who lives in California, in a semi rural location within reasonable distance from the coast and a scenic region, perhaps a National Park and not too far from an interesting town. We are open to offers.
