East Howcreek

The main part of a traditional Galloway farmhouse ( Three rooms are shut off to contain family junk!) There is a dining kitchen ,a comfortable sitting room, porch, hallway ,bathroom , two spacious double bedrooms ( extra beds and cots available on request) and one very small double room. Ample parking (access is down a private unmade road which may not be suitable for cars with lowered suspension, although I drive a bmw 3 series will no probs.) There is a garden to the front and rear. The house overlooks the Solway firth and has stunning views. central heating and double glazing. Washing machine , dishwasher, freeview TV with DVD player. There is a small library of dvds and books.

Annan, with numerous cafes pubs and restaurants varied shops ( 3 supermarkets including tesco) is a few minutes drive.

About the location

Excellent for walking and birdwatching ; darks skies make it an astronomers dream. Close to sea, lochs hills and nature reserves. Unspoilt quiet countryside and coastline abounds. Near to historic churches castles etc. Hadrians wall is not too far away. 20 mins drive to Dumfries with museums etc and about 35 mins to historic Carlisle. Total tranquillity but not far from the shops!
