Stunning house by the sea
Our seaside terraced house, built over a hundred years ago, opens onto the beach promedade. The views are wonderful. It is simply decorated, has solar panels and a wood burning stove, central heating, and everything you could wish for. It is quite small but can sleep seven (three double beds and one single in four bedrooms).
It stands next to the famous De la Warr Pavilion, an arts centre and gallery. It is in the centre of town with its shops, railway station, restaurants etc and not far from some lovely countryside, as well as the delights of Bodiam Castle, Great Dixter gardens, etc.
About the location
Bexhill was a centre for the rich and fashionable in the early 1900s, and was the first place in the UK to hold motor racing and to have mixed bathing. It is quieter now, but friendly and welcoming: popular among retired people and people with young families. It lies between colourful Hastings, sedate Eastbourne and beyond it is trendy Brighton. The famous South Downs Way is not far and the High Weald.
Bexhill gets a lot of sun. It can also get a lot of wind and weather. But either way, there is a lot to do. We can swap our old convertible Lexus if you are interested.
You will find it hard however to leave the house, as it is just lovely!
