Our house is an end terraced villa with many period features. There are 3 bedrooms: king-size bed in master bedroom with breath-taking views across to Fife. Large single bed in spacious second bedroom. Hand-made bunk beds in third bedroom with adult-sized single beds. Large garden at the front. Open the gate and you are a couple of steps from the beach which is cleaned every day in the summer months. The rear of the property has free on-street parking. The high street with many shops is a few minutes walk away.
About the location
Portobello is a historic seaside town. There are lots of amenities for families: victorian swimming pool, trampoline centre, soft-play centre, and lots of parks. There are many family-friendly pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk of the house. There is a very good public transport service between Portobello and Edinburgh city centre, only 25 minutes bus ride. Newhailes House: the national trust property in in the nearby town of Musselburgh is around 20 minutes on foot, or a short bus ride away. The beaches of East Lothian are easily accessible either by public transport or car. Hillend Dry Ski Slope, the biggest in Europe, is around 20 minutes away.
