Farmhouse

Our home was built of herringbone stone over 300 years ago. It has 2 large double bedrooms, 1 en-suite and 2 single bedrooms. The back of the house is south facing, with a conservatory making the most of the light, sunshine and amazing views over the open fields to the moors beyond.
The en-suite bedroom has recently had a large balcony added so visitors can enjoy a morning cup of coffee, enjoying the pretty garden and views beyond.
Downstairs, there is a large kitchen diner, separate dining room with an open fire and comfortable lounge.

About the location

Though our home is in a rural location, the village has a butcher's (Radfords), a baker's (Botham's) and 2 pubs serving food. It is possible to walk into the countryside from the house.
Whitby, the famous seaside resort, is only 4 miles away, with a mile of beach, plenty of independent gift shops and of course wonderful fish and chips.
It is also possible to access the steam railway in the village, taking you to Goathland or beyond.
