Overlooking World Heritage Rainforest that meets the Iconic Great Barrier Reef

Our home is positioned on a hill and has spectacular views of the forest with glimpses of the sea. It has an open plan design with a full length covered deck to enjoy the cool breezes. The house was built only 4 years ago and has modern appliances including a spa on the deck. It is only a few minutes walk to the beach that has views of Dunk Island.
We have regular visits from the our local wildlife including wallabies, a variety of birds and the iconic Southern Cassowary.

About the location

We are two hours drive south from the major tourist city of Cairns. Our home at South Mission Beach is part of a cluster of beachside villages spread over about 15 kms. There are supermarkets, shops cafes and restaurants which are only a short drive from here.
There are many tracks for walking and bike riding around the area. The small regional town of Tully is nearby and a larger one, Innisfail is 45 minutes north. The local area is mainly rural growing sugar cane, bananas and tropical fruits.
There are many opportunities for boating fishing and snorkelling on the reef.
