This is our Our second home, used by us and family when we are in the city. It is cosy and comfortable.Photos and detailed profile to come.

We want a couple of weeks in several places between June and end Sept 2017, while we visit family in Europe. They can be simultaneous or non-simultaneous exchange.
We offer a comfortable older style, two-storey modest property about 60 years old, in a pleasant neighbourhood. The City Centre is only walking distance away. It is also very close to the large central city park (Hagley Park), lovely for walking in, and where there is a golf course. There are two bedrooms, bathroom with bath and toilet, and a sitting /dining/living room with a small kitchen. There is a small outside patio for warmer days and it gets morning sun as well as evening sun. There is a washing machine but no dryer. No TV, no internet, no dishwasher! There are three other similar units in the block of four townhouses and each has its own car port.
Our mountain cottage in Arthur's Pass village may also be available if not already occupied.

About the location

This is a quiet central city area - ideal for walking and exploring the city. As retired professionals we love it in all seasons. There are many good coffee bars within 5 minutes walk and excellent restaurants. it is 5-10 minutes walk to the museum, the library, the Botanic Gardens, the reopened Art Gallery and the Avon river and good for exploring the post-earthquake city rebuild . A car is generally not needed for the city but for trips further afield a car is very useful. Buses to and from the city bus exchange and the airport have stops just round the corner.
