Atmospheric Amsterdam canal home

Our atmospheric apartment is on the second floor of a 1914 building overlooking a typical Amsterdam canal. There is a big bedroom, a living room with a double sofabed and piano, bathroom, kitchen-diner, study, three balconies (one overlooking the canal and two the leafy courtyard) and a small space with a washing machine and dryer.

The apartment has a fast internet connection and cable TV, as well as a well-equipped kitchen.

The area is attractive and popular; at walking distance, you will find a street market, arts and foods centre with a cinema, numerous supermarkets, shops and restaurants, a few parks (including the Vondelpark), the Museum Quarter and the Jordaan district.

The house is on a quiet stretch of the canal, yet close to four tram lines. Anywhere in the centre can be reached within 20 minutes by bicycle.

About the location

The neighbourhood is a bustling area built in the late 19th and early 20th century, with a typical Amsterdam character. It's just to the west of the Jordaan district and is currently one of the most up and coming areas in town, with new bars, restaurants and (organic) shops opening up all the time.

Along our canal you will find small cafés and a major cultural centre with a library, crafts market, cinema and food court. There is a small park around the corner, numerous bakeries, supermarkets, a street market (6 days a week) and a few ethnic shops at walking distance.
