Family friendly, rural outlook
Our house was built in the 1970's. It is in a small village 5 minutes walk to the local shops. We have a wood burner and ceiling heating. It is a lovely comfortable, warm, sunny, family home with a nice fenced garden. The beautiful beach is 2km away. It is possible to walk from one beach to another as the coast stretches for miles. Kapiti Island is in view and there are trips to the native bird sanctuary on the island. There is a bus service but it's easier to drive the 15 km to the train station to catch the half hourly train to Wellington. Wellington is 75 km away and Palmerston North is 70 km away. We have lots of shops and outlet shops in Otaki. Market garden district. A market is held every 2nd Sunday.
