Spacious Victorian period house in Crouch End (leafy North London) with sunny garden, full of toys for yout kids to enjoy

Our house was built around 1910 and retains many original period features, including a beautiful mosaic front hallway and stained glass front door. On the ground floor we have a large double living room with sofas, plenty of books and a play area with a piano you are free to use. There are french doors that open onto the garden. We have a separate eat-it kitchen (seats 10 comfotably), which is very well equipped and also leads onto the garden. The garden has a large patio area that leads onto our lawn with a children`s play house and small climbing frame (which can be tucked away out of sight if you prefer)! We have a BBQ and outdoor table and chairs.

On the first floor is a very large family bathroom with separate shower, a separate toilet room, a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer and two large bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with bunk beds - we no longer have a cot in the house).

On the second floor are two more bedrooms, one of which has an ensuite shower, toilet and sink and a beautiful view of Alexandra Palace perching on top of a great hill. The other bedroom has bunk beds (and plenty of space to play in too!)

We have a huge variety of toys, board games, Xbox et cetera and you are also welcome to use our bikes, we each have one and there is also a tandem.

About the location

We live beside a very vibrant, popular district in London called Crouch End. It has a great high street with a village feel and is surrounded by green spaces - parks, wilder areas and ancient woodland.

Moments away from our house is a separate high street with a very large supermarket (sainsburys), post office, chemist, lots of cafés and a great pizzeria and Thai restaurant.

Crouch End itself, is just ten minutes walk away. It is full of independent shops, cafés, bars and restaurants and has two great cinemas. There is also a gym with an indoor pool and outdoor 50m lido which you can visit.

In terms of transport, Hornsey rail station is a five minute walk away and will connect you to the centre of London in around 20 minutes. There are buses into the centre of London very close to the house. 15 minutes walk away is Turnpike Lane Underground station which takes you into the city centre in 20 minutes.

We are spoilt locally for green spaces.

Just by our house is a beautiful historic churchyard with lawns where the boys like to kick a ball around and during the summer there are regular free concerts.

Our closest park is Priory Park, six minutes walk away. It has a great café, tennis courts and a playground. It is quite large so the boys like to have a cycle around.

Within 10 minutes you can reach Alexandra Palace, which is an iconic London landmark set in beautiful parkland. It is a very popular walking spot and has cafés, a boating lake, an iceskating rink and a theatre onsite.

You can also walk through Priory Park to some famous ancient woodland - Highgate and Queens Wood. Also worth a mention is the Parkland Walk, a disused train line that has been converted to a quiet track for walking and running.
