Sunbird Cottage

We have a have a home situated in the leafy green country suburb of Noordhoek, about 40 minutes from Cape Town International Airport.
Sunbird Cottage is a homely but spacious home, situated on about 1000m2 and has a solar heated indoor pool in the garden and a protected patio and braai area. We also have a viewing deck upstairs with views over False Bay. The main house has a bedroom upstairs with an en suite bathroom and a further bedroom and bathroom can be found downstairs. The 3rd bedroom is situated in the completely seperate flatlet in the garden and this has its own kitchen area as well as a large bathroom complete with shower and spa bath. It would therefore be suitable for 3 couples and would allow each couple their privacy.

We are in a private security estate which is peaceful and our garden in particular is full of trees and has a wonderful array of birdlife, from Sugar birds, to white eyes and Red collared sunbirds.

About the location

We are on the Southern Peninsula, which features the Indian Ocean on the one side and the Atlantic on the other. Noordhoek is situated in the country and is an equestrian village. We are 5 minutes away from the world famous Chapmans peak drive and Noordhoek beach where you can enjoy horse rides on the beach. Chapmans Peak is one of the most scenic drives in the world and will take you over the mountain to Camps Bay and other wonderful beaches. We are also 15 minutes away from Simonstown where you can visit the Penguin colony. We are 5 minutes away from the beautiful Cape Point Vineyards, where you can enjoy wine tasting and picnics with spectacular views of the entire valley across to Kommetjie, another beautiful beach well worth visiting. We are also within a 1 hour drive of many beautiful Vineyards which can be found in Stellenbosch and Paarl. A mere 5 minutes away, you will find approximately 6 wonderful restaurants to choose from, serving anything from tapas and sushi to pub meals or fine dining. There is something to suite everyone.
