Peaceful home in the River Lahn Valley, near Frankfurt

Our house, a single standing building offers spacious and light rooms, facing the Romantic River Lahn. During each season you have wonderful views to the garden and opposite hillside with cows grazing on bright meadows, deciduous forests and a nest like, tiny quaint village. Even from our bed we can watch birds and the changing colors of the sky or have an early morning coffee vis-a vis the woodpecker amidst the rising early fogs over the river.

There are two stories (each 100sqm), one with extended balcony and huge windows in front of the sleeping room and parlour, the other with roofed terrasse, facing the copious garden. The lower level is occasionally rented as a holiday apartment which you could also use during non-simultaneous swaps.

From springtime to autumn the idyllic garden flourishes abundantly and invites to sit and read. This you can do under the wild vineyard or have a cup of tea next to the apple trees, or a BBQ between the roses and medical plants.

The house has recently been completely renovated and follows the latest energetic and ecological standards.

We are open to any suggestions and can offer non-simultaneous exchange, as we also rent a holiday flat on garden level, we could offer during off-season.

About the location

Our small village and the Romantic River Lahn Valley (joining the River Rhine) is still an insider tip for those, who want to discover our country with its rich and beautiful nature, charming quaint medieaval towns and castles and not least its people.

Enjoy a quiet piece of nature with a lot of direct outdoor facilities in a country with rich cultural heritage. Yet you find yourself in the middle of Germany with easy access to 3 major airports, Frankfurt/Main (60 km); Frankfurt/Hahn, Cologne/Bonn. Major tourist attractions like World Culture Heritage centers Heidelberg, the River Rhine Loreley Valley or Cologne (90 min) are close by. The train from the village is an excellent public transport option to the nearby cities of Limburg, Weilburg or Goethe`s Wetzlar.

Outdoor activities in pure nature and magic landscapes are at easy access. A well established network of certifiyed routes for hikers, bikers, canoeists and kayakers crosses at max 300m from the house. Other nearby facilities: fishing, swimming, golf, ballooning, climbing, spas.
