Quiet home near Berkeley and San Francisco, California

We live in a quiet community facing San Francisco Bay. Berkeley is about 20 minutes away by car or BART (our Metro). San Francisco is a 30 minute BART ride. The station is a ten minute walk from our house. Like most homes, ours is in progress: we have a large downstairs area that can sleep 4 easily and there are 2 bedrooms upstairs, one of which also serves as a study. There are 2 tvs and a computer for your use. From our deck, one has almost 180degree view of San Francisco Bay, the City itself, the Golden Gate, and the Marin county headlands.The garden is quite large and has been recently redone in California natives (mostly) In addition to an herb garden, there are some fruit trees. There are two farmer's markets in close proximity. By car one can reach most of the important regions of the Bay Area in less than an hour. The wine country is an hour away.

About the location

Ours is a very beautiful area, close to the advantages of the city, but not far from hiking and other outdoor sports. To the west, there is a large park by the Bay. One can go almost around the Bay by bike, in addition to enjoying the amenities of a large urban park. In the hills to the east is another large park that comprises two counties, where there's hiking, picnicking, boating, etc. One can travel easily by BART (our metro) to Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco and points to the east. By car the Marin headlands and the Napa and Somona wine country is easily accessible.
