Large traditional stone house and seperate apartment with spectacular views of Pyrenees - ideal for golfers, walkers and art buffs

Very large well appointed house offering flexible accommodation. Main house has 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and has been finished to a high spec as our home not a holiday let. The house has 2 large reception rooms & dining room to sit 8/10 people. The property is on 3 floors with the lower floor available as a separate self contained 1 bedroom apartment but that can be interconnected for large groups. The apartment is available for rental too.
Parking is in front of house on road but there is Secure Storage available for bikes.
Spectacular views of the mountains from many of the rooms and the terrace and Barbecue area and gardens also for your enjoyment. This is a Beautiful rural location that gives a taste of jreal France with Nearest town St Laurent de Cerdans just a few minutes drive where you will find essentials such as small supermarket, restaurant, bar, baker, pizza, ATM/bank and large outdoor pool in summer months.
Nearest airport is Perpignan or Toulouse and Montpellier (2hr) for greater choice of flights. You can also fly into Spain - Barcelona (2hrs) or Gerona (1hr 20)
Please note there are a quite a lot of steps in the house so may not be suitable for disabled access.

About the location

Set in foothills of the Southern Pyrenees this area is steeped in history but is also known as a Station Vert because of its amazing rural location and spectacular views of Mount Canigou. Ceret is 30 minutes drive with great Saturday market and Picasso modern art museum. You can sit in the same square as the great master if you fancy. The house is only 8kms from the Spanish border and Figures is 40 minutes away with the Dali museum. Beaches can be found at Collioure, Argeles, Canet or the delights of the Costa Brava are just over the border in Spain.
Falgos golf course is close by where you can stand on the first tee and see the Bay of Roses on the Spanish coast and the snow capped Pyrenees - amazing even if not a golfer.
Swimming pool nearby in St Laurent (summer only) or indoor at Falgos.
Lots of walking on your doorstep and some challenging mountain walks if mood takes you or you can follow some of the designated cycling trails along country roads.
