Beach apartment

We are a British-Catalan family, British father, Catalan mother and our teenage son. Our home is approx 100M2, it offers a spacious and comfortable 30M2 living/dining area with a large balcony and view to the port, two bedrooms (one double, one single - plus a possible 3rd guest bedroom turned library where a forth person could sleep if needed), 1 bathroom, 1 shower room, a modern kitchen and inner gallery for utilities. All mod cons inc. dishwasher, washing machine, air-con, wifi and Netflix.

Our home is situated just 200 metres from the lighthouse beach and a GR coastal path, in a charming fishing town 30 mins south of Barcelona. It is a first floor flat just off the seafront and opposite the fishing harbour. Just a five minute stroll up the road and you`re at the train station so you can hop on board its regular services to either Barcelona or Tarragona, 30-40 mins away, or just 5 mins up the coast to the famous resort town Sitges. Failing that you could just stroll along the coastal path and be there in a hour or so.

About the location

The town itself boasts a variety of beaches where you can stretch out and relax or try out a range of watersports. Vilanova is a friendly town, a popular family choice for summer holidays, where you can stroll up the central avenue and enjoy a warm Mediterranean vibe in its buzzing squares and bar terraces, supping on a cool beer or tasting prize-winning ice creams. In the evenings beach shacks and seafront restaurants welcome you to enjoy the sunset after the last dip of the day.
Nearby there are the Garraf mountains which also offer you a range of hiking and mountain biking trails if that`s your thing.

Also closeby are the towns of Reus, Sant Sadurni d`Anoia and Vilfranca del Penedes (a must for wine lovers).

There are many day trips to be had, including the Monastery of the spectacular Montserrat mountain, Roman Tarragona, the Ebre Delta, and the wealth of cultural and shopping activities Barcelona itself always has in store.
