Porthllyn - Crickhowell, Wales
Detached house with two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs (one double and one single which is currently set up as a sitting room but can easily become a single bedroom). There’s a well equipped kitchen and open plan dining area. There’s also a study and good internet access throughout the house.
Our home is a light and spacious place in the small town of Crickhowell. It has a very pleasant private garden, lots of space for parking and two sets of French doors opening into the garden. There is underfloor hearing downstairs and a wood burner in the living room. Upstairs is heated by conventional radiators.
Because our small grandchildren often come to visit we have basic baby equipment : travel cot, high chair, pushchair and toys.
About the location
Crickhowell is a small town on the River Usk in the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is well known for its independent shops, bars and restaurants and for its access to wonderful walking country. There are dozens of walks to be done from the doorstep and even more if you take a car trip. Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, is a 20 minute drive away. There is great fishing in the River Usk and canal boat hire from nearby Goytre if you fancy seeing the area from the viewpoint of the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal. The house enjoys lovely views and peaceful, sheltered gardens.
Bristol and Cardiff are both accessible by train from nearby Abergavenny or else by car ( 1 hour to Cardiff, an hour and 15 to Bristol).
