About the location

Pen y Fan Cottage is in the Black Mountains on the eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons, with wonderful walks directly from the door. Just 1.5 miles from Abergavenny, an attractive market town with plenty of independent shops and a weekly flea market. Abergavenny hosts a well known food fair in September. London Paddington via Newport three hours by train from Abergavenny. Regular trains to Cardiff and Bristol with airports an hour away by car. Great cycling locally and access to the Taff Trail (Brecon to Cardiff) along the Monmouth and Brecon Canal at Llanfoist. Mountain biking on Sugar Loaf. 'The Crown' - serving wonderful pub food - is a ten minute walk from the cottage. A wealth of restaurants, cafes and bars in Abergavenny.
