Comfortable house, easy access to London and the Midlands - Dunstable

Our home is a medium sized spacious end of terrace with 3 bedrooms (1 double & 2 singles although we can accommodate more using a large high level double inflatable bed), upstairs bathroom, shower & toilet, downstairs toilet, modern kitchen including double oven, induction hob & microwave, living/dining room and a medium sized fenced in sunny garden, TV & fast WiFi & private driveway.

Will suit equally a family or couples. We have done 11 house swaps over the last 8 years (via Christianhomeswap.com) across Europe & England & our visitors have always thoroughly enjoyed both the house & location.

We also own a short haired dog (not travelling with us, she will be staying nearby with parents).

About the location

Located in Dunstable in Bedfordshire just 9 miles / 15km away from London Luton airport (http://www.london-luton.co.uk/en/). Luton Rail station with fast links into London is within easy reach (6 miles / 9km).

A 10 minute drive will take you to the M1 Motorway (junction 11A) which leads into London or you can join the M25 ring road & park at one of the north London underground stations taking you into the heart of the capital in just over an hour door to door!

Even closer (5 minutes walk) is Bennett’s recreation ground which features a newly opened free fenced in splash park for kids, including a kiosk where you can purchase drinks & snacks.

Just 5 Miles (8KM) away is Whipsnade Zoo (part of London Zoo) which is one of the largest zoo`s in the UK - easy parking as well as a regular bus service from town will get you there.

In Dunstable town centre is the Grove Theatre that puts on a range of Theatre & touring shows as well as current movies.

Woburn Safari Park is approx 10 miles away, you have the opportunity to drive through the enclosure in your car. On the same estate is Woburn Abbey, a stately home which is open to visitors & often has displays of local arts & crafts.

Dunstable Downs is within easy walking distance - very popular with families, walkers, kite flyers, parascenders & gliders. Visitor centre with restaurant can be found at the top. The Downs is on the edge of the Chiltern Hills which offers infinite possibilities for hiking & walking, both easy child friendly routes & something more challenging for the experienced hiker.

Easy access to the Chiltern Hills, lots of really good walking areas no more than an hour away.

Milton Keynes is 18 miles north offering a large modern shopping centre, a huge network of cycle paths, Willen Lake for windsurfing & boating as well 2 multi screen cinemas, indoor skiing at the Snowdome and Airkicks skydiving experience.

Just 12 miles away is the Roman cathedral city of St.Albans - lots of history can be found in the city, both Roman & Medieval, as well as an excellent market, shopping centre, theatre & a large park with a free splash park for younger children.
