Gold Coast River Hobby farm

We are a 20 acres hobby farm located at the pristine Nerang River near the Advancetown lake with significant wild life zones in the riparian area of the river bank. We have a wallaby family and 2 large kangaroos living on the land with turtles, wild eels and and all sorts of fishes for fishing in the river.

We plant and cultivate on a small scale and as a hobby only some of the most interesting and healthy superfood plants, trees and herbs like Moringa Oliefera, Mangosteens, Soursop and various mints as well lemon grass and rare indigenous Australian trees for our (and then yours as well) consumption only.

Our 220 m idyllic river frontage gives ample private space for a refreshing cooling down in the summer months with canoeing during the days and camp fire on the evenings

Our house is a one level 6 bed room home with gracious open area living room, lounge and kitchen. All rooms are fitted out with contemporary furniture and warm lights and cosy decor.

The bedding of our bedrooms with duvets, toppers and pillows consists of 95-100% authentic Siberian and Hungarian Goose downs to give you the ultimate healthy and luxurious feeling of a good nights sleep `Bavarian Style` made in Down Under.

The veranda deck is overlooking the river valley and has dining tables and lounge chairs for relaxation.
A separate outdoor kitchenette which is fully equipped with charcoal spit BBQ and rotisserie can be either used for your own outdoor cooking or as a self-sufficient attached facility for 3 of the 6 bedrooms which have separate entrance.
When swapping houses the 3 separate bedrooms can be used when a non-simultanous exchange is preferred.

Our home although still connected to the grid is 100% energy self-sufficient. We generate our own solare power (approx. 100kw daily) and have 60,000 l potable water in tanks as a reserve.

About the location

We are located in the Hinterland of the Gold Coast just 25 min from the Golden Beaches of Surfers Paradise. The Theme Parks are just 20 min away.
Nearest Airport is Coolangatta, Gold Coast about 40min by car and Brisbane about 1hour.
The Advancetown Lake is just a stone throw away with tourist facilities, restaurant, fishing, boating available all year round.
Close by are the Natural Park, Springbrook and Natural Bridge, Glow worm caves and many other natural attractions.
We are in the center of the Recreational Area Belt of the Gold Coast located. Our zoning is Rural Residential with significant Wild life habitat in the riparian area.
We are very environmentally conscious and try to maintain the natural beauty and healthy condition of our pristine area.
We try to interfere as little as possible with the natural environment to guarantee a powerful experience of nature to our homeswap or homestay guests for generations to come.
