Lovely apartment with great access to Norwich city centre

Our apartment is light and airy, in a well-serviced block built just over ten years ago. It overlooks the river Wensum, with its abundance of wildlife, and boating activity during the summer months. Opening out from the hallway, there are two good-sized bedrooms (one serving as a study/sitting room with a bed settee). One of the bathrooms is en suite. The kitchen is well-equipped, next to a lounge which opens out on to a south-facing balcony. There is underfloor heating throughout, wifi and broadband connection, plus a parking space in a covered secure garage area. We are on the second floor, served by a lift and stairs. The block is part of the Canary Quarter, just a fifteen minute walk from the vibrant city centre. A regular bus service will take you to all parts of the city, including out to the University of East Anglia, with its renowned Sainsbury Art Centre. The railway station is a short walk away.

About the location

Norwich is a `Fine City` and a `City of Stories` on the river Wensum, about 100 miles (160km) north east of London. From the Middle Ages to the Industrial Revolution, Norwich was the largest city in England after London.
It is the most complete medieval city in the UK. The Castle and two Cathedrals dominate the skyline. You can stroll down cobbled streets and admire a variety of ancient buildings and half-timbered houses, including the impressive Dragon Hall, home of the National Centre for Writing. The city hosts two Universities and the largest (award-winning) permanent undercover market in Europe.
In 2012 the city was designated England`s first UNESCO City of Literature, and in 2018 Norwich was voted one of the "Best Places to Live" by the Sunday Times newspaper.
From one of the oldest Arts Festivals (May) in the UK, to a weekend of crime writing (Sept), whatever the season there is always a reason to visit.
On the doorstep there is a swimming pool and gym, and the Whitlingham Country Park. A short distance away there is the Norfolk Broads National Park, and the beautiful coastal resorts of Cromer, Sheringham, Wells and Blakeney (and lots more!)
