Guldrey Terrace

The house is located in a very quiet residential area of Sedbergh, with lovely views of the surrounding fells. The house is a stone built end terrace with numerous period features. The kitchen diner has been recently modernised and the comfortable living room is a warm and welcoming space with a smart TV. We have two single rooms with high sleeper beds and two double rooms, one with an en suite shower room. One of the high sleepers also has a sofa bed. The secluded rear garden has a seating area for barbecues. As our house is located away from any public roads, the surrounding area is very safe for children who can play freely with access to the tennis courts opposite the house.

About the location

Sedbergh is a very small market town located quite dramatically at the foot of the Howgill Fells in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We have three pubs, a couple of decent cafes and an excellent chippy. The small, local supermarket is a couple of minutes walk from the house.

For anybody who enjoys walking, our location is hard to beat as there is no need to drive anywhere. It is a five minute walk to the fell gate with access to the remote Howgill Fells and numerous hiking options. In addition there are many delightful low level walks through grass meadows, woodland and along river banks.

There are many other outdoor activities available in the area. Fell running, horse riding, paragliding, caving, road biking, mountain biking and kayaking are all popular local activities and we are happy to give you advice about where to go. The wild swimming is particularly good, with our four local upland rivers offering many secluded, clean deep pools.

Sedbergh makes an excellent base for sight seeing trips. Within half an hour`s drive, Wensleydale and Dentdale offer fantastic scenery whilst, Ingleton and Kirkby Lonsdale have lovely restaurants and boutique shops. We have good access to Windermere and Keswick which are under an hour`s drive away if you fancy a Lake District tour.
