Leith Edinburgh

We live in a comfortable three bedroom flat in a great location in Leith in Edinburgh. The flat is light, airy and peaceful and has an outdoor seating space and a shared garden.

There are three bedrooms - a double bedroom and two rooms with single beds, and a bathroom with a bath and a shower.

The flat has all the usual mod cons, with lots of books and records. We have four or five bikes we`re happy to be used and two surfboards. We also have an allotment 10 mins away - where you're welcome to pick homegrown fruit and vegetables.

And we have season tickets for local football club, Hibernian, who play 10 mins away at Easter Road. Happy to lend the tickets if your stay co-incides with a home match, although given current form, think carefully!

About the location

Leith is the historic port of Edinburgh. The flat is next to the large Leith Links park, a beautiful municipal park with children`s play facitlies and tennis courts. It`s a five min walk from The Shore in Leith, with lots of lovely pubs and restaurants, and a mile and a half to Portobello beach, Edinburgh`s seaside resort. Well served by supermarkets, Leith also has a wide of independent shops, a weekly farmers market and a microbrewery or two!

Edinburgh is of course home to the famous Edinburgh Festivals - a month long extravanganza of theatre, visual arts, music and comedy in August time. Situated two and a half miles from the city centre, the flat is well served by buses (a 25 minute ride from city centre) and taxis. It`s also on the east of the city providing easy access to day trips to East Lothian and the Scottish Borders, as well as just a few hours from the Scottish Highlands.
