Open plan Cornish retreat

Our house is a short walk to the beaches and harbour of Porthleven. In the Winter we
have one of the best places in the UK to watch the storms rolling in as well as great food and beautiful walks. In town we have great pubs such as the Ship Inn, lots of cafes and restaurants - Jude from the Great British Menu has a 2 restaurants in town (Kota and Kota Kai) as well as a local Sauna and Gym.

In the Summer we have a quiet street with easy parking. Great base to reach all of the south and north coast of Cornwall. We have many beaches and walks and are happy to advise any local routes. For those interested in surfing, its a destination for experienced surfers at the Reef here but with plenty of high quality beach breaks nearby.

Our home may look modest from the outside but we have renovated our 1970’s bungalow into a modern open plan living space, nicknamed ‘The Tardis’.

It is a 3 bed house (two doubles and one single bunkbed) and two bathrooms.

Our living space is a L shaped lounge with log burner, tv, kitchen and dining area. From here you can access the garage into the utility room (extra freezer, tumble dryer, washing machine) we are all very sea based so unless we need them there will be surfboards and bellyboards to be able to use.

Outside we have a back a front garden and room for 2 cars.

There are double doors to the back garden from the main living area and another door to the master bedroom and en-suite bathroom with bath, shower and toilet.

There are front and back gardens, the back garden has a washing line and a football net.

Please note no pets allowed. And we don't have a dishwasher! We have 2 Guinea pigs who live in a hutch in the shed outside (in winter) and in the garden in the Summer who we can have looked after if this is not something you'd be interested in.

About the location

A beautiful area, Porthleven is renowned for its location, stormy seas in the Winter, high level of a surfing and great food.

There is a local supermarket in the village or supermarkets in the nearby town of Helston.

Nearby you have Penrose woods and Loe Bar, and loads more great walking destinations. Further along the coast St Michaels Mount or the Lizard Peninsula are both within a 20 min drive.
