Santa Barbara Riviera with a View

We live in a comfortable, family home overlooking the beautiful coastal city of Santa Barbara. Our deck looks out to the Santa Barbara Channel and the Channel Islands (National Park) in the distance. Behind us are the beautiful Santa Ynez Mountains. Our home is open concept, bright and sunny, with many windows and sliding doors facing toward the view. It is big enough for a five people to get some private space. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with shower.

We are experienced house swappers, though have not used this site.

Beds are: king, queen and two doubles--one bed in each bedroom.

We do have a dog who needs to be fed in the morning and evening and put outdoors. We will arrange for a walker--no need to do that. Dog is friendly and outside most of the time. Also happy sleeping indoors.

About the location

It`s a perfect mix of beaches, mountains, and culture. Santa Barbara is a beautiful old (by US standards) and nature is everywhere. Parks, hiking, ocean swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, surfing are all close by. Los Angeles is 90 miles away and the Santa Ynez Valley, for wine-tasting, is a 35 minute trip. You can take the ferry out to the Channel Islands National Park, which is beautiful.

There are also wonderful small museums and Santa Barbara is famous for its mission. Plenty of concerts and theater in beautiful venues very close. Lots of great restaurants.

Several supermarkets are very close by and there are terrific farmer`s markets year-round on Tuesday and Saturdays.

We have one ebike and one regular bike available. There is a e-bike share at the bottom of the hill that`s a great way to get around Santa Barbara. If you have a family, it would be helpful to have a car. If conditions are right, we might consider swapping a car.

Santa Barbara is known for it`s great weather.
