3500 sq. ft home, on 1 1/2 acres, end of cul-de-sac with mountain views
We have a 3500 sq. ft home in the suburb of Santa Fe called Eldorado that my husband designed and built. It is on an end of cul-de-sac lot of 1 ½ acres with 30 vacant acres next door and has mountain views. It has four bedrooms but we will use one of them for storage so three will be available. A bathroom (with a shower stall and a whirlpool bath tub) is en-suit to the master bedroom (which also has a walk-in closet) which has a king-size bed and there are two other bathrooms with Queen beds. It has underfloor heat for the winter and cooling in the summer. It has a double garage, a laundry room with washer and drier. The kitchen is equipped with a walk-in pantry, a dish-washer, a `fridge freezer, a gas cook-top, a built-in oven and microwave, a toaster oven, an electric kettle, a drip coffee maker with filtered water and a waste disposal unit in the sink. Outside, there is a walled garden with fruit trees and flower beds. There is a baby grand piano in the open plan living room.

About the location
The immediate area is friendly and quiet. Santa Fe, New Mexico is known as the Land of Enchantment with pristine air, blue skies and 325 sunny days a year. The area is known as the high desert with beautiful mountain views and lovely sunsets and skiing half an hour away. There are several places to fish nearby. Santa Fe - the capital of NM - is a very popular tourist destination known for art galleries, world class opera, multiple museums, native American markets and pueblos nearby, plenty of shops and great restaurants and plenty of interesting places to visit like the balloon festival in Albuquerque in October. Five minutes away from us are bicycle trails, hiking in the Eldorado Preserve, a community swimming pool, tennis courts, gym and not forgetting the famous Hatch chili. The official state question is, " Red or green?". If you want the both, the answer is Christmas!!!
Winters are generally cold and snowy and summers hot with a "rainy season" in July and August. Locally there is a Farmer`s market in season, a supermarket, a brewpub and an excellent French restaurant. From here you can make excursions to numerous ski areas locally and in Colorado. Denver is a few hours away as are the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Mexico and if you are feeling adventurous, Los Angeles for Disneyland, Universal Studios, the Hollywood Bowl, Sunset Boulevard, the beaches etc. Adjacent states are:- Arizona, Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma and Chihuahua, Mexico.
