Our house is a modern (2004) three floor town house. It is part of an architectural award winning gated community in Stoke Newington. It backs on to Abney Park which was once a Victorian cemetery and is now a wooded wildlife conservation area. The ground floor has two double bedrooms, one en suite, and a family bathroom. The larger ground floor bedroom opens on to a garden terrace. The middle floor is a large open plan kitchen and living room. On the third floor is a double bedroom and a tree-top, heated outdoor room/deck with views over the park. The house is light and airy with floor to ceiling windows on each floor. The centre of London, with its attractions and sights, can be reached in 30 minutes via a choice of routes. A safe, on site, car parking space is available.
About the location
Stoke Newington is a north London ‘village’. Our house is short stroll from Stoke Newington Church Street, the centre of the village. The street has buildings dating back to the 17th century and a wide choice of independent restaurants, traditional pubs, craft, and retro clothing, shops. Abney Park is a tourist attraction with its Victorian monuments, wooded pathways, and fascinating history. Nearby are the large green spaces of Clissold Park and the Woodberry Wetlands. Further afield, but within walking distance, are the Hackney Marshes and the Olympic Park.
