Fearrington Village

our Village is an upscale collection of 16 different type of neighborhoods ranging from condos to large homes. It is mostly Senior citizens. We live in a neighborhood of 40 large homes, each on an acre of land with all homes backing up to a forest. New, custom built homes that were built from 2016 to 2019. Our home is large and has many windows for great natural light. Our home is a two story, open floor plan home at 3500 Square feet with some houses in the neighborhood up to 5500 square feet. You can live just on the first floor which has a master bedroom and bath, kitchen dining room, living room, laundry room 2nd bath and guest bedroo. Upstairs has a large bonus room that is used as an office and another bedroom and bathroom. The 4th bedroom would be locked off. We moved in in 2017, furnished home with new upscale furniture. We have a screened in porch and large outside patio with a waterfall and water feature. Our woods in the back is just lovely, especially in the fall, and there are numerous windows to enjoy the view. We have a front porch that allows us to watch gorgeous sunsets. 2 car garage. Very strict HOA rules which makes for a neat and tidy neighborhood. The neighborhood is a very social group with many informal social events such as First Friday, a happy hour gathering at our community picnic table area.

About the location

We are very close to Chapel HIll which is a college town for UNC. We have Duke University and Carolina State University in the triangle area (Chapel Hill Raleigh and Durham), which is a major urban area. They provide a vast array of cultural activities and events. We are 40 minutes from downtown Raleigh and there are many interesting museums, etc. We are only a few minutes from a large rereational area with a large lake, Lake Jordan. We are 35 minutes from RDU airport. We are 3 hours to the coast of North Carolina beaches, 4-5 hours from the Blue Ridge Mountains, 4.5 hours from Washington DC. We are about 2 hours form the border to Virginia, 5 hours to Charleston SC. Many places for a few days or more get away.
